Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 July 2026

These terms cover using the NeighbourHub app to buy, sell, and share rides with verified neighbours in your residential society. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

Who can use NeighbourHub

  • You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account.
  • You must be a genuine resident of a society listed on NeighbourHub, verified by your real tower and flat number.
  • Listing, ordering, and carpooling features are only available to verified residents of the same society.
  • One account per phone number. Accounts are personal and shouldn't be shared or transferred.

Listings you post

  • No illegal, stolen, counterfeit, expired, or unsafe items. No weapons, drugs, or adult content.
  • If you sell food, you're responsible for food safety and hygiene, and for holding a valid FSSAI registration or license where the law requires one. An FSSAI badge on your outlet reflects what you've submitted — NeighbourHub doesn't independently inspect kitchens.
  • Every outlet and listing goes through admin review before it's visible, and can be hidden or removed afterward if it breaks these rules.
  • No spam, duplicate listings, or misleading pricing or descriptions.

Orders and payment

  • NeighbourHub does not process payments. Buyers and sellers settle directly, by UPI or cash, at pickup or delivery.
  • Because we're not part of the payment, we can't resolve payment disputes, refunds, or non-payment between a buyer and seller — that's between the two of you.
  • Order status (placed, accepted, ready, completed) is tracked in-app so both sides have a record of what was agreed.

Carpooling

  • Rides are neighbours offering or requesting a seat with each other — NeighbourHub is not a licensed transport operator and doesn't verify driving licenses, vehicle insurance, or fitness certificates.
  • Seat counts are locked server-side so a ride can't be oversold, but the ride itself is an arrangement between driver and rider, at their own risk, and subject to whatever transport laws apply to them.

Account suspension

We can suspend or remove an account that posts unsafe or fraudulent listings, harasses another resident, provides false residency details, or otherwise misuses the app. You can also delete your own account any time from Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing us — see the Privacy Policy for how.

Content you upload

You keep ownership of photos and text you upload. By posting them you allow NeighbourHub to display them in the app for the listing they're attached to.

Prohibited conduct

  • Harassing, threatening, or impersonating another resident.
  • Circumventing society verification, or providing false tower/flat/FSSAI information.
  • Attempting to access another user's account or data without authorization.
  • Using the app for anything unlawful under Indian law.

No warranty

NeighbourHub connects neighbours — it doesn't inspect goods, verify service quality, or guarantee a ride happens. We provide the app as-is and aren't liable for disputes, losses, or damages arising from a transaction or ride between users.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NeighbourHub and its operators aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including disputes between residents, food safety issues at a listed outlet, or incidents during a shared ride.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app changes. Continuing to use NeighbourHub after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
